Matt Jacob manages CDHP’s communications, including the website, social media and press relations. He also advises state health officials on communications strategies to strengthen oral health.
For more than 20 years, Mr. Jacob has helped nonprofits and advocates raise the profile of their issues, particularly in the areas of children’s health and education. Most recently, he worked for the Pew Charitable Trusts, where he managed communications for the children’s dental initiative. During his years at Pew, Mr. Jacob supported successful efforts by local dentists, parents and others to preserve access to fluoridated water in communities that collectively served more than 3 million Americans.
Mr. Jacob’s opinion columns have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe and other publications. He has made presentations on the framing of oral health messages to many organizations, including the Institute of Medicine, Voices for America's Children and the American Public Health Association. Mr. Jacob received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas.
