Deborah Vishnevsky

Deborah Vishnevsky is the Policy Analyst at the Children's Dental Health Project. Ms Vishnevsky researches funding, regulatory issues and implementation of children’s oral health programs. Her work ranges from investigating innovative programs to analyzing the impact of potential legislation, seeking to identify strategies that improve the oral health of children.

Prior to joining CDHP, Ms. Vishnevsky was the Food and Health Policy Associate at the office of New York City Councilman Ben Kallos. While there, she worked on research and coalition-building for legislative efforts  to decrease local rates of childhood obesity, improve school nutrition accountability systems and increase access to fresh and healthy foods. She earned her Masters in Public Health from Columbia University where she completed a capstone paper examining the effects of community organizing strategies on moving state and local public health policy. She also holds a B.S. from Cornell University in Health Policy Analysis.
