Oral health literacy: we can all play a role

By the CDHP team

People who understand why oral health is important are more likely to make smart choices. The Children's Dental Health Project (CDHP) advises and assists state and local stakeholders on the important messages to communicate. But improving the public's literacy on these issues is a role we share — all of us. That's why we're always encouraged to see local organizations getting involved.

The Links chapter in western North Carolina is helping to educate school children on proper teeth brushing. It's only one of various oral health messages that young people need to hear from multiple sources. But it's great to know a service organization like Links is stepping up and sharing this responsibility.
