Dr. Rani Gereige is the Director of Medical Education at Miami Children’s Hospital and a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Florida International University College of Medicine.  He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and obtained his Master’s Degree in Public Health in Maternal and Child Health at the University of South Florida (USF), where he established the General Academic Pediatric Fellowship. Dr. Gereige completed his Pediatric residency at USF followed by one year as Chief Resident at All Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the AAP, the AAP Executive Committee of the Section on Oral Health and the 2012 NCE program chair. Dr. Geriege is also a member of the Academic Pediatric Association (APA), the American Public Health Association (APHA), and the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD). He is a member of the Editorial Board of Pediatrics in Reviews and of the NBME Interdisciplinary Review Committee (IRC) of USMLE Step 2. He is the recipient of several teaching awards from residents and medical students including the 2002 Arnold P Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award and was nominated for the 2003 AAMC Humanism in Medicine Award.  In addition to Medical Education, Dr. Gereige’s interests include School Health, primary care Sports Medicine, Public Health, Evidence-Based Medicine, Oral Health, and Children with Special Health Care Needs and Sports.
