Subcommittee on Domestic Policy Hearing: Medicaid's Efforts to Reform Since the Preventable Death of Deamonte Driver

On Wednesday, October 7th, 2009, the Subcommittee on Domestic Policy held a hearing titled: “Medicaid’s Efforts to Reform since the Preventable Death of Deamonte Driver: A Progress Report.” The hearing was the fourth in a series on access to pediatric dental services in Medicaid. The subcommittee has focused on this issue since the death of Deamonte Driver in February 2007 highlighted the inadequacy of dental services for Medicaid-enrolled children in Maryland.

CDHP's Dr. Burton Edelstein testified before this committee.
