ASTDD School and Adolescent Health Committee Webinar
March 30, 2010 - 3:30pm to 5:00pm ET
School-based oral health programs increase access to dental services for children who may not receive them elsewhere. As front-line providers, children come to school nurses for a variety of health issues, including oral health problems. School nurses play a critical role in promoting oral health and implementing oral health programs in schools.
The ASTDD School and Adolescent Oral Health Committee invites you to attend this free webinar which will take a close look at evidence-based oral health prevention programs in school settings. Drawing from the experience of dental professionals, as well as input from school nurses, this webinar will discuss the benefits of implementing topical fluoride, sealant and comprehensive dental programs to improve the oral health of high-risk school-aged children through collaborations with public and private organizations and agencies. The webinar will also feature a review of free oral health resources for school nurses.
